UNIQUE MUSIC & CAMERA GEAR SWAP AT VIKING HALL SATURDAY JUNE 29TH

BRISTOL, Tenn.-- The inaugural Bristol Music & Camera Gear Swap will be Saturday, June 29th from 9 am - 6 pm at Viking Hall. 

The first swap show of its kind in the area will feature two main sponsors buying equipment, as well as an on-site, licensed appraiser of musical instruments, good for insurance purposes.
The Saturday event at Viking Hall will include short seminars by four professional photographers speaking on: “Here’s My Photo Gear and Why.” A music panel discussion on “Analog vs. Digital” will also be featured during the music and camera gear swap. 

Music sponsor and primary buyer is Morrell Music of the Tri-Cities, while sponsor KEH Camera of Atlanta, will be buying photography gear. Charging a small fee for music appraisals will be a team of certified experts, headed by Chuck Tipton, local musician and guitar maker, and Mike Vance, classic instrument expert.
And Thompson Photo of Knoxville will be a vendor, with a fee for cleaning of CCD sensors on SLR digital cameras. 

Live acoustic music will be performed throughout the day, and there will be door prizes, including a three-song demo session from Sound Asylum Studios, Boones Creek, TN. Other sponsors include the City of Bristol, TN, Twin City Photo Club, Pix and PR Agency, and more to be added. Photographers discussing their tools of the trade and taking questions will be: Malcolm Wilson on marketing photography; Earl Neikirk, photojournalism; Jerry Greer, nature photography and Randy Gentry, studio photography. Panelist on the “Analog vs Digital” debate will include local audio technicians and musicians. 

Admission will be $5 cash at the door. Tables are available for business vendors and individuals with lots of gear to sell. There will also be a “consignment” table for Individuals.

Opened in 1981, the multi-purpose arena of music concerts, trade shows and sporting events is next to Tennessee High School.
