Eastman Camera Club Program for Thursday October 17

The program for this month is "Lenses - what's the best lens?"

There is no right answer to that question.  The right lens depends on your subject, composition, and conditions.   We will talk about

  • How to decide on the best focal length for your shot
  • Zoom with your lens vs. zoom with your feet
  • What's fast glass?
  • What does variable aperture mean?
  • How to shop for a lens
All but the last two points apply to point and shoot cameras as well as DSLRs.

Come out Thursday with your burning questions on lenses.
