February 5
Argentina and Peru
Presented by Frank Renault

My wife and I recently visited Argentina and Peru. We spent a few days in Buenos Aires, Argentina then flew to Iguassu Falls which is a collection of about 275 individual water falls on the border between Brazil and Argentina. We returned to Buenos Aires and flew to Lima, Peru where we visited several attractions there before flying to Machu Picchu to see the lost city of the Incas.

As a teenager I became interested in photography when I got my first camera, a Polaroid.I switched to a digital camera when my wife gave me a Sony Digital Mavica MVC-FD7 - for Christmas the first year they came out.  I have three hobbies, gardening, traveling and of course, my favorite: photography. My other two hobbies, gardening and traveling allow me opportunities to enjoy my favorite: photography.
My images have been published in newspapers and books here in the U.S., Germany and Australia. I was on the Board of Directors at the Art Depot in Abingdon for 4 years, and have exhibits of my work there frequently.

Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies
Presented by Belinda Bridwell

Come join us for a tour of the “Crown Jewels of America”.This is what Glacier National Park is commonly called due to the jagged mountaintops adorned with majestic glaciers.Glacier is a 1600 square mile park in Northern Montana and is considered one our most beautiful national parks. After visiting Glacier we travel north into Alberta, Canada, and visit the Canadian Rockies parks of Waterton, Banff, and Jasper. We will view the pristine wilderness, glacier lakes, wildlife and soaring beauty on both sides of the Canada/U.S. border.

Belinda is a retiree from Eastman Chemical Company. After retirement she decided that photography would be the perfect hobby for her, marrying her interest in technology with her love of art.She has been on the board of the Eastman Camera Club for many years. Her original interest of landscape and travel photography has expanded and she is now doing real estate photography and family portraiture professionally. February 19 -->  March 12
The Four Corner States: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah
Presented by Ron Zucker

Saddle up as we travel to the American Southwest! If you like natural beauty, this is the place to go. National Parks from A to Z (Arches, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Great Sand Dunes, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, and Zion) offer stunning scenery that is a photographer's dream. The colors will startle you, the variety of scenery will amaze you. We will be visiting National Parks, National Monuments, and a few state parks on our journey across this little known area of the country.

Ron likes all things photographic. He started with a Canon AE1-P in the early 80s,  switched to videoography, and is now doing both videoography (Canon XHA1S) and digital photography (Nikon D7100). He loves to travel and his favorite subject is natural beauty.

February 26
California
Presented by Chris Duncan

We will take a tour through one of the most beautiful states in the nation – California. From the massive trees and rainforest of the North, to the majestic Sierras of the central, to the striking arid Southern region, California has the greatest diversity of scenery of any state in the US. Of course we will also be sharing photographs from all regions of California to give you a feel of how it looks and perhaps give you ideas of where and when you would like to visit California. A common question that I often get asked is how to get the most of a trip to a destination, so we will cover how to plan to maximize what you get to see on a given trip. such as how to pack for trips, transportation tips, and other travel advice will also be part of the discussion. I look forward to seeing you there.

Following his passion for photography, Chris has traveled all 7 continents, 50 states, 40 countries and over 47 National Parks—always with his camera nearby.

  1. Don't forget, the Travelogues are at the Lodge and not the Employee Center.
