July 26th Outing to Grayson Highland State Park

While we did go to Grayson Highlands State park last year, we just couldn't pass up the chance to photograph the foals.  It has been reported that there are around 11 foals this year.

 

Time and weather permitting, we may visit a near by waterfall or go to Whitetop Mountain.  Whitetop Mountain is the second-highest mountain in Virginia. The highest navigable road in Virginia leads to its summit.  The summit provides panoramic views of three states.
