WORKSHOP PRESENTATION--May 3-4--Knoxville

From Larry Perry in Knoxville -

This program could be the highlight of the year for area photographers. If you haven't already signed up for the Saturday program time is limited and you should do so NOW!

Winston Hall is an incredible teacher...just look at what some of the local photographers say about him:

Bob Turney: In the last number of years I have attended numerous Workshops with Winston Hall.  Outstanding Photographer, Outstanding Teacher, and a really fun person to be with! I am pretty choosy who I listen to when it comes to photography and I can easily say that Winston is one of the best instructors I have heard. I guarantee you will learn a lot regardless of your skill level. I plan to be there to learn more!!!

Jack Goodwin: Winston's workshops are a lot of fun, and very insightful.  Here's a tip I picked up during his Slot Canyon Workshop two years ago.  I was struggling with the problem of capturing a bit of blue sky peaking through the depths of a canyon.  I was bracketing exposures from -3 stops to +3 stops for HDR.  Because the meter was seeing a lot of dark canyon and very little sky, the sky was clipping, even at -3 stops.  Winston suggested using exposure compensation together with bracketing.  That shifted the bracketing range to be from -4 stops to +2 stops, enough to bring the sky into range while still opening shadows sufficiently to give good results when the images were combined.C an't wait to see what I learn next week from Winston!

Mike Boniol (Crossville):
I have attended several photography workshops by Winston Hall including photographing lighthouses in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Lightroom, and one on my Nikon camera. He is outstanding and I rate him as one of the top photographers and photo teachers in the country. He will conduct an outstanding workshop for SANP and I will be attending!

SANP is pleased to announce that veteran nature photographer Winston Hall will be presenting a workshop weekend for us on Saturday and Sunday, May 3 & 4, 2014.  Each day will be a distinctly different workshop.
