August 15 Program
Who remembers the good old film days? Did you use the 18%
gray card for exposure metering? What are you currently using for coloring
balancing and exposure metering? Would you like to capture the color you see?
Are you tired of inconsistency in color tones and colorcasts in your digital
images? Well, our speaker for August 15 is totally falling back in love with digital photography {in
camera} because of the ExpoDisc neutral white balance filter. Please join Carla Olson as she demonstrates why she is in LOVE with this filter!

Carla Olson graduated at Virginia Intermont College with a
Bachelors of Art in photography and this is what one of her college classmates
writes about her…
“ I have had
the pleasure of watching Carla Garletts Olson grow from a budding photography
student to a budding photo journalist and Artist to an amazing commercial
photographer. The thing that has always struck me about Carla is she not only
feels deeply as a person but she feels deeply through her Lens and all you have
to do is see her work. As a student she worked harder than any of us. Watching
her as a photojournalist, I was always struck by her ability to identify with
any subject by taking time to develop a relationship with them. Carla is just
wonderful with people. Over the past several years, she has been photographing
her own family in her spare time and there is a deep connection between her and
her camera with her family.
Her work has inspired me and driven me as well as taught me. I think her experience in not only commercial photography but Art, photojournalism and her understanding of the history of photography give her work a unique perspective that most commercial photographers don't have. She is not only one of the best people I know; she is also the most talented. “ – Greg Banks
